Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg’s film ‘Our Man from Jersey’ will shoot in New Jersey this summer
Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg have shot their next spy thriller in England.
Now production is heading across the pond to the Jersey side – the New Jersey side.
And it figures.
The title of the movie? “Our man from Jersey.”
Steven Gorelick, executive director of the New Jersey Motion Picture and TV Commission, told NJ Advance Media that “Our Man from Jersey” is set to shoot in Hudson and Passaic counties this summer.
The film, co-produced by Wahlberg and “Ballers” creator Stephen Levinson, the actor’s frequent producing partner, was filmed in London and is due to shoot in Jersey City, Bayonne, Kearny and Paterson the week of July 10.
Halle Berry made her directorial debut in 2021 with the Netflix fight movie “Bruised,” which also stars the Oscar winner, who filmed the story of returning to Newark and Atlantic City in 2019.
Deadline previously reported that “Our Man from Jersey,” which will also be released by Netflix, centers on Mike (Wahlberg), a construction worker from Jersey (yes, that one – not the one from the Channel Islands).
Mike finds himself in the midst of espionage and intrigue after his high school sweetheart Roxanne (Berry), who works for US intelligence, recruits him for an assignment.
Julian Farino (“Ballers”) is directing the film, which was scripted by David Guggenheim (“Safe House”).
The thriller also stars JK Simmons (“Being the Ricardos”, “Whiplash”), Alice Lee (“Brittany Runs a Marathon”), Jackie Earle Haley (“The First Lady”), Jessica De Gouw (“The Secrets She Keeps”) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaie (“Suicide Squad”).
