Elizabeth Olsen Responds to Scarlet Witch Movie Rumors

Wanda Maximoff has been struggling lately. Not to mention her traumatic uprising in Sokovia, she recently had her husband killed in front of her twice and lost fictional children who had become reality in her mind. So it’s not too surprising how she turns around Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ended up being so dark. She downright slaughtered all the Illuminati.

When audiences last saw Elizabeth Olsen on screen, she had a change of heart and met to make a sacrificial piece aimed at destroying all Darkholds across the multiverse. But is she dead?

According to Michael Waldron, the author of the film, his status is “to interpret.” Despite those words, it’s important to keep in mind this classic rule of storytelling: if the audience didn’t see it happen, it didn’t happen.

So what’s next for the character? What about the rumored solo movie? Luckily, Olsen herself was able to clarify all of this – or at least attempted to.

Will Elizabeth Olsen star in a Scarlet Witch movie?

wonder

In an interview with Good Morning America, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Star Elizabeth Olsen was asked if she was going to have a role in the next Agatha spin-off show, or perhaps her own solo movie.

The actress noted how she had “I love being part of both” but that she “to know[s] nothing about [her] coming:”

“I would love to be one of those two. Nobody tells me anything, and I’m not even hiding a secret because I’m bad at it. I don’t know anything about my future.

Previously, Olsen revealed how she would be all for one scarlet witch solo film, provided “They have a good story to tell:”

“Oh, I don’t know, but if they have a good story to tell, I’ll be there… [at least after a long break first], even a small one. Just one version of a break.

Speaking to Variety, she also clarified that even though “[she’s] i expect to come back… no one told me i’m doing anything [more yet]:”

“It’s weird that I’m expecting to come back, but no one told me I’m doing anything! But in my mind, I’m just assuming that they’ll get me again. I don’t know in what capacity, but I hope to be back. I hope there is also more fun to be had in something different. Where are we going? I feel like we’ve done so much with her. It’s been a really crazy few years with her.

Another example of Olsen reinforcing the idea that she has no idea what her future holds was during an interview with The Blast, where she simply stated: “there is no plan:”

“There’s no plan, and I’m serious…I’m not a good liar. I wish I had a plan.

Is Elizabeth Olsen the werewolf?

Andrew Garfield set such a precedent with his Spider-Man: No Coming Home lies that it’s hard to trust most claims like these from Olsen. However, the actors can’t be blamed – they’re literally under legal pressure to say nothing at all.

Despite her words, there’s almost certainly some idea of when the Scarlet Witch will return. It may not have an exact date, project name, or story in general, but Olsen and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige have no doubt shared words about it.

Given the success of the character and his previous show, Wanda Vision, a solo film seems like a safe bet. An even safer guess would be a guest appearance next year. Agatha: House Harkness.

In addition, at some point, his children will have to come into play for the Young Avengers.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Wanda Vision are now streaming on Disney+.
