The Anker building, which determines the look of Deák square, was built in 1907 and named after the Anker Insurance Company. The back of the building forms a curved street connecting Bajcsy-Zsilinszky road and Király street. This is the Anker alley; its yellow walls, ornamental buildings and large windows provide a unified, grand look to the enormous building even in its current shabby form.
