The film opened successfully in Cannes on May 16, and received favorable reviews. The professional audience in Cannes also followed the news and information about the Hungarian Film Law with interest.

Hegedűs wins scriptwriter pritze in Cannes
Showtime by Bálint Hegedűs won the fourth prize in the international finals of the Hartley-Merrill scriptwiting contest. The young writer received the award from Jack Valenti, chairman of the Motion Picture Association of America. With this, the thriller that takes place in the world of TV shows is one step closer to realization, as international interest towards the project mounts.
