The Budapest Film Office
The Metropolitan Municipality of Budapest intends to set up the Budapest Film Office this summer prior to the upcoming local elections. We wish to provide an opportunity for the 24 independent district municipalities of Budapest to coordinate their authorization procedures and create a uniform fee system. The new film office would allow ‘single window’ administration regardless of the number of district municipalities involved in a particular shooting process. In addition to issuing supplementary authorizations and conducting consultations with transport companies and utility providers, the office would also be responsible for giving information to the public as well as dealing with traffic restrictions and difficulties during shootings.
Construction started in Etyek
László Krisán – one of the executives of Korda FilmStúdió Kft., the company responsible for coordinating the construction work – informed the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) that after the necessary authorizations were obtained from the authorities, construction of the Sándor Korda Film Studio has started in Etyek. The world-class film production facility comprising 6 studios will be ready to host the first shooting teams next spring. For further details visit www.kordafilmstudio.hu
