1 September the Oscar Nomination Board selected the feature of Lajos Koltai, Fateless (Sorstalanság) for representing Hungary at the Academy Awards 2006, in the category of „Best foreign movie”.


Mastercourse for cinematographers

Students of film from all around the world will have the opportunity during the two week workshop to analyse a movie every night and learn the tricks from world famous cinematographers like Vilmos Zsigmond (Jersey Girl, Melinda and Melinda), Lajos Koltai (The Legend of The Pianist On The Ocean), or John Schwarzman (Seabiscuit). They will discuss Hungarian films with István Szaladják (Tamara), Gergely Pohárnok (Hukkle), Gyula Pados (Fateless), András Nagy (A fény ösvényei), Gábor Medvigy (After The Day Before) and Sándor Kardos (Résfilm).
