Thanks to the tax and investment incentives of the Film Law, producer Andrew G. Vajna and developer Sándor Demján are planning to build a film studio housing the world’s largest sound stage in Etyek. The facility will be named after Alexander Korda, the internationally renown Hungarian-born filmmaker. The 6,000-square-meter complex will provide work for 1,000 to 2,000 people and include a gigantic pool for underwater shots.

Cinema Festival Attracts 330,000 Viewers
Cheap Tickets Bring Crowds
Based on the French model, the Cinema Festival was an enormous success in Hungary, too. 330,00 people attended the screenings during its four days, which means a rise of 300% compared to average attendance figures. This is roughly similar to the French proportions, although there, millions of viewers participated at the event. The low price of tickets has also contributed to the festival’s success.
