According to the law defining the budget of 2006 ÁPV Rt has to give ownership rights of Mafilm and Filmlaboratórium to Magyar Mozgókép Közalapítvány (MKK - Hungarian Motion Picture Foundadtion). The execution of this act will be determined by a government decree being drafted at the ministry of cultural affairs. The date and the conditions of the consignation of the ownership rights will be set in this.

Good at outdoor sites Outdoor set in Fót

The curators have accepted certain trusteeship policies regarding Mafilm. The essence of this policy is development by calling in (private) capital. No measures have been taken yet, but according to Erzsébet Tóth Mafilm is still ahead of its competitors in the industry both regarding the infrastructure  and the capacity. This position should be maintained and strengthened, and therefore MKK would like to avoid playing for time. 
Mafilm is currently suitable for TV series or A category productions shot at outdoor sets such as Eragon. They are aiming at creating a site where A category movies which require 2-3 studios at the same time could also be served.  As for the other studios under construction, Erzsébet Tóth – on behalf of MMK and not yet on behalf of Mafilm – said that they are looking forward to their opening. It is Stern studios at Pomáz which is most likely to be opened next. Studios might support each other with information, services, and promotions as well.

At the site in Fót there is 23.000 m2 outdoor area and two studios, approximately 1000 m2 each, which would need some reconstruction. These are still the biggest studios in Hungary. Mafilm provides set, costume, props, accessories and pirotechniological services at their site in Fót.
