British horror in the Mátra
Christopher Smith’s second feature film, Severance completed shooting. The horror film, executed at lease-work, was partly shot in Hungary in the Mátra mountain, partly on the Isle of Man.

The District! won Grand Prize in Seoul
After winning the Annecy Grand Prize Gauder Áron’s The District! triumphed again. The director awarded with the Honorary Silver Cross of the Hungarian Republic 20 August 2005 has also won the award for the best feature film of the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival.

Munich in Hungary
The world famous director has been shooting parts of his latest movie on Mediterranean islands then moved on to Hungary. The production with the working title Munich deals with the consequences of hostage drama having taken place in 1972 at the Olympic Games in Munich.

Fliegauf is shooting a fantasy
Having won international recognition for Rengeteg and Dealer Benedek Fliegauf moves on to a genre less usual in Europe: he is planning to shoot a fantasy with the title Tündérkör. They would like to win Harry Dean Stanton for one of the major roles of the „mainstream” movie produced in international co-production, and the singer of Portishead would provide the music.

Christopher Paolini’s book Eragon is being screened. 99% of the dragon story is being shot in Hungary. Shooting started 1. August near Budakeszi.
