The building, which is one of the masterpieces of Hungarian Art Nouveau, was completed in the year of the Hungarian millennium, 1896, designed by Ödön Lechner and Gyula Pártos. The palace characterized by an eastern ornamental style and Hungarian motifs is covered by a roof made of Zsolnay ceramic tiles. The glass roof of the two-storey arched exhibition hall and the entrance portico are unique architectural solutions.
The steel structure named after the district was completed in 1996. It connects southern Pest with southern Buda. At the Buda side, university campuses were built, at the Pest side, the new National Theater building was constructed. The four-lane bridge is used by car and pedestrian traffic. Its tall red lampposts make it conspicuous already from a distance.
The enormous spa complex in City Park was built in 1913 in Neobaroque style. Its church facade-like main entrance and the facade of the pavilion-like building is divided by columns. Its interior is decorated by rich ornaments, frescoes and statues. There are two large pools in its courtyard. It was modernized and restored recently.
